Admissions criteria

Generally, to secure admission to the University of Cincinnati - College of Medicine, applications require the following:

  • Complete common application form through Cincinnati application system
  • Official school transcripts
  • One letter of recommendation from an employer, academic, etc.
  • The applicant’s undergraduate transcripts, which must be translated into english, with subjects: math and science (physics/chemistry)
  • Resume/ CV
  • Overall GPA at least 3.0 out of 4.0
  • Personal statement about the desire to pursue graduate degree
  • A valid GRE or MCAT is recommended but not required.

International students must meet the following requirements additionally to be considered: - Recognised equivalent of a US bachelor’s degree. - Proof of proficiency in English: IELTS-6.5, TOEFL iBT-80, Duolingo-105 (spring session) 110 (fall session), PTE: 47 (spring session), 54 (fall session) - Visa clearance forms (F-1 or J-1) and a Certificate of Financial Responsibility that proves you will be able to fund your study and stay - Official school transcripts translated into English
