About the school

The Wake Forest University School of Business was founded in 1948 as the School of Business Administration. It has campuses in Winston-Salem and Charlotte, both in North Carolina. It is an accredited member of AACSB International. The U.S. News & World Report 2023 ranks Wake Forest University 29 among the top national universities.

The school has more than 18,000 alumni worldwide. Life at School of Business

Wake Forest University's Centre for Global Programmes & Studies (GPS) offers a variety of programmes and services to help international students settle on the campus. The International Student and Scholars Division (ISS) is the body in charge of answering all queries and handling any issues they may have with their international status.

The Office of Residence Life and Housing encourages students to choose on-campus housing. The North Campus has houses dedicated to graduate living. These include apartments and residence halls that are fully furnished with all facilities, including internet, laundry, house cleaning, and more. The university has its own off-campus housing portal listing rental residences in the neighbourhood for those looking for alternatives to campus living.

There are multiple dining halls, kitchens, markets, cafes, and restaurants spread across the campus. Students can choose from various meal plans. The campus dining team provides all convenient options, such as sit-down meals, grab-and-go snacks, retail restaurants, marketplaces, coffee shops, guest meals, and more.

Students can engage in recreational activities at the Wake Forest Wellbeing Centre. It houses facilities like a turf field, a grass field, various courts, jogging trails, and more.

The WFU Transportations runs the Wake Line shuttle services inside and outside the Campus. Students are encouraged to use bikes provided by the Bike Share Programme. There is a Dero Bike Fixit Station that has an air pump and other bike maintenance tools.

Admissions criteria

Admission requirements vary for different courses. General admission criteria laid down by Wake Forest University - School of Business for international applicants applying for the graduate programmes are as follows:

  • Complete the application
  • A personal statement is required
  • A resume or CV is needed
  • 3 letters of recommendation must be submitted
  • Official or unofficial transcript from each institute attended, with credentials verified by World Education Services (WES)
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • GRE score, if required by the particular programme:
  • Combined score of 300-302 (50th percentile) in Verbal and Quantitative sections
  • 4.0 or greater in the Analytical Writing section
  • Proof of language proficiency is required:
  • TOEFL: a minimum score of 79
  • IELTS: a minimum score of 6.5 overall
